The Beaumont, shortlisted for Wallpaper Design Award

Wallpaper’s Design Awards 2015 saw the Art Deco hotel, The Beaumont, in London’s admired Mayfair shortlisted for Best New Hotel.

The Beaumont is the debut hotel of esteemed London restauranteurs, Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, who Richmond worked closely with in order to convert this former Mayfair car garage – originally designed by famed 20s architects Wimperis & Simpson – into a five-star bespoke hotel.

Richmond’s interiors encapsulate the artistic and social energy and personalised hospitality of the Art Deco era. The hotel offers 73 rooms, including 23 suites; a 100-seater classic grill room restaurant; American bar; private residents’ bar & lounge; boardroom and a spa, including a traditional hammam and treatment areas, as well as a resident’s gym.

Richmond have taken the hotel back to its Art Deco roots and by using a rich palette of colours and materials, have created an environment with a level of indulgence and richness of culture that speaks to any visitor.
